7 Reminding verses about the ‘Second Coming of Christ’

The Bible is very truthful and faithful in telling what will happen in the second coming of Christ. The second coming will happen after the rapture of the Church and there were so many illustrations and descriptions provided, such as, the Antichrist will rule destructively having no hope but when Jesus has come, the Beast will be overthrown.

God’s word also declares that we are in our last days on earth after Jesus ascended to the Father. For the Jesus’ believers, it is a day to look forward to but for unbelievers it is a day of mourning, devastation and unbelief.

Here are 7 verses about the coming of Christ on earth:

1. Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen. Revelation 1:7

John, author of the book of Revelation, reveals that the Day of the Lord is for everyone and every eye will see Jesus in that big event.

2. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30

This is a good reminder for us to still be faithful and be anchored to the Holy Spirit that was given to us by Jesus. As believers, in the Coming of Christ, we should not let the Holy Spirit grieve by making any sinful acts and fall into the deceptive works of the Evil.

3. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

The verse reminds us to focus on becoming Christ-like and live in God’s faithfulness before that day comes.

4. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:15

Even in the present time, we could all observe that we are surrounded by false prophets, teaching and doctrines around us but in the Day of the Lord there will be a lot more of them. Most of them have turned away their belief and reverted to the Antichrist.

5. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

We anchor our lives to God, the Beginning and the Ending of everything and the God of all generations.

6. Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. Matthew 24:42

As Christian believers, this verse strikes us to come prepared and be ready on the day of the Lord.

7. I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. Revelation 3:11

Being patient and hopeful is our key in the coming of our Savior and Lord. Soon and very soon, Christians will be able to see and worship Him again on earth.

We live in world that is full of sinful nature but we have hope that Jesus will fulfill his promise of coming back to the world, to save and gather us again and to be with Him. Friends, we encourage you to still be hopeful and live His Word even during this pandemic. Truly, His love for us is the joy of our salvation.
